Youngs Menswear moves to new location on Ludington Street

ESCANABA — Youngs Menswear in Escanaba has moved to a new location on Ludington Street in Escanaba. Tyler Myrick said the former building at 1119 Ludington Street has been emptied and the new building at 1016 Ludington was ready to open Monday.

Myrick did a final walkthrough Saturday night at his old store that he posted online.

"Everything is gone. The building is completely empty ," he said, showing a store void of merchandise after pointing to their new location. " We're not too far. Literally, just one block down on the other side of the street, the old Mr. Bike & Ski building. We are super excited for this opportunity."

Myrick bought the business in 2024 from Ron and Jena Young. He opened a second store last year in Marquette. He says he is looking forward to working in his new location in downtown Escanaba.

"It's been a long time coming. Ron and Jena have been in this location for over 25 years and it is officially empty," Myrick said. "What it means for you is better customer service, better options, growth for a local business, especially now that we have a location in Marquette as well, so we are servicing both locations. We are onto bigger and better things."

Myrick said they are gearing up for prom season and continue to service wedding needs. They also sell high-end men's clothing that is displayed along the front wall of their new store.
