Excited about downtown
Developers and community leaders gathered Monday for the groundbreaking ceremony at the former Delta County Jail site on North Third Street, where the four-story waterfront hotel will be built.
Escanaba has many unique stores in its downtown. The sweetest store in town is more than 100 years. You can visit stores with clothing, Upper Peninsula gifts, art gallery, off-road vehicles, books, bicycles, cigars and musical instruments.
There is live music, an outdoor marketplace, community events, Ludington Park, Bonifas Arts Center, Escanaba Public Library and Delta County Historical Museum and Sand Point Lighthouse.
